Sadly my lift has had to pull out for personal reasons. If anyone wants to come on the Saturday for the real fun and give me a lift, they can share my twin room.

I can hire a transit van , 2 days £100 plus fuel , someone else from north London wants a way of getting to the show , If you 2 cover the cost of the van and we share the fuel cost 3 ways it could be a done deal . Or I just about have room in my car for me and my gear , Your choice

However, the weird and extreme side has been decreasing/alienated over the years and that is where my own interest lies. The same sensation of ennui also seems to be shared by my audio friends and that also discourages me from attending. For newbies I still strongly recommend it - but I’m not a newbie.... .. .

It would appear this not the case so long as all you ordered was pies as Peter feels that this is part of the tradition . What he has asked is that we do not extend this to things like pasties Quiche etc as this does eat a little in to the hotel catering . I think this is fair and hope that we can get the orders for Pies resinstated and brought along . It was my intention to used the stand pie cut in to segements and offered to those coming in to the room to listen on Sunday (and yes that is a bribe ) the Pork Pie I ordered was all for me .

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
