Hi everyone,

I seem to have a gain/balance issue with the Sony TA-N55ES power amp that I’ve just set up.

Using Audyssey to measure levels it reads about 4db down on the right channel, my processor can adjust for this but obviously there’s an issue somewhere inside the amp.

I’ve had to repair a dry solder joint on the binding posts on the same side as I wasn’t getting any audio through the tweeter (Bi-wired using A+B speaker outputs) however the speaker seems balanced in terms of tweeter vs bass so I think that’s just a coincidence.

Caps look good nothings bulging etc, sounds really good.

So I’m wondering do I just live with it, try and repair it myself or get it repaired?

(FYI it’s on load from my brother in law who’s had it stored for about 6 years)
