How do I know how good they are? Ha! I already two pairs lol

    PIONEER CS-77A's !!

This pair have a defective Tweeter so thankfully, my spare pair have two working tweeters. Simple case of two broken pairs made into one good pair. Cabinets *should* come up nicely with the same sanding and Danish oil technique i used on my working pair. Tweeters also need new foam surrounds but I have someone on the case. Should come up really nice when done. Only other things that it requires are better binding posts and eventually, rebuilt Crossovers.

The cost? 120! and a favour from a very good fellow by the name of Shaman who's going to collect them and drop them off here for me. What a legend!

You Cannot get a better pair of speakers for that price, I am totally convinced.

Should be here Thursday. Pics to follow

Nice one Oli, are you going quadraphonic?

Lol, no mate, I just love them so much, and having the spare parts to make a fully working pair, I felt it was my duty!

    More arrivals today,

After being totally enamoured with the improvement and sound quality I am getting from my SPOTFIRE Speaker Cables, I decided to see what sort of connectors I could get for sensible money that *may* improve things from a stability perspective.

One worry for me was when using Zplugs, the rather bulky cable was only secured by a soldered joint. I do use silver solder so that joing is probably a bit stronger but I wanted something stronger.

I picked these because of the screw ability and also I am confident that with them being Gold plated copper, I can also get a run of solder inside.

I've just plugged them into the binding posts on my speakers and they are very snug. Less so on the Krell as the posts aren't very deep. I'll stick to spades that end.

    Look nice though!

Just need time to fit them.

They look very nice. Can they be retro fitted to my speaker cables? No complaints about the ones I already have, just asking the question you understand.

They can, IF I like them. I want to try them first because if I can't get a solder line in there, I'll keep looking.

    Nice though aren't they!

Had this beauty arrive today courtesy of Geoff101

It's a little poorly but it's been playing for 2 hours faultlessly at the minute. An Intermittent fault so it's a case of wait for it to go wrong!

A complex beast but such a beauty!

    Worth saving
