However, look at the price for something that's merely average... And that's the thing. You'll be lucky if the (massively) mass-produced streaming crap fitted into most cars these days costs manufacturers £1.90, never mind £119.90!
The Kenwood unit in my car cost nearly £1200... And even in a Merc, what had been factory fitted before it was a piece of UTTER SHITE in comparison.

If I didn't need the (superb) Sat-Nav, DAB radio and Internet facilities, on my Kenwood head unit, I'd fit a quality vintage cassette deck in the car and make up tapes to play on it from my system [especially from vinyl] on the Nakamichi BX-300 (no Dolby NR - just wide open, and with as much input level as the tape could handle without saturating), bias and EQ set spot on, and it would sound stunning!

Yup I opted for the standard Toyota version. Its not too shabby either. Nice touch screen unit. I used to play cds of my audio books in my last car so was a bit stymied for 5 muns til I got them from audible onto me phone. Also got a stick with some music. Not gonna blow your mind but sounds good enough for me.

As my Skoda has a USB input and will accept USB HD units so long as all the Tracks are Flac and the HD Fat 32 I use a a 2 TB USb HD unit with around 54,000 tracks on it . So far when I shove the head unit to shuffle all music I have not had any problems with music choice or quality and I never have to take my hands off the wheel to to change the CD. As a bonus the Skoda also has blue tooth so I can send Radio Paradise to the unit and an additional SD card slot so I can put any new music i buy on that and switch to listening to just my new music if I want to .
