    Default Hi everyone!

    Hi all,

My Names Dan Barwell I’m a 26yo Senior Composites Engineer for a electric vehicle manufacturer.

    I’m based in Banbury Oxfordshire.

Currently have a bit of an oddball hifi/AV system essentially comprising of two systems running into a common power amp for my front speakers, system is listed below.

    Denon AVR-X4300H surround sound processor.
Cambridge Audio CXUHD UHD Blu-Ray player
    Sony TA-n55es power amp
Rotel RSP-1068 multi channel pre amp (makes a very nice stereo pre-amp on bypass, much better than the denon)
Cambridge Audio Azur 551p phono Pre Amp
Rega rp2 turn table (tango spinner plastic sub bearing, RB250 with steel stub and weight, Rega Carbon cart)
Custom 12v twin input trigger for power amp switching
    Audi quest Pearl HDMI’s
    Qed performance Graphite interconnects
    Qed Anniversary XT Bi-Wire
Beresford TC-7240 to witch between pre-amps into power amp.
    Antimode 8033

    Speakers:
    Fronts are Mordaunt-Short Performance 6’s
Center is Mordaunt Short Mezzo 5C
Rears are Mordaunt Short Mezzo 6’s
Sub is a BK Monolith Plus

    Upgrades to come:
New front power amp (Nord 3ch or Cambridge Azure 851w)
6ch or 7ch Power amp (for surround and atmos)
    4x Atmos height’s
    Another BK Sub
Morduant short Performance 5C center if I can find one.
    Proper stereo pure amp/streamer

Don’t have any photos really as it’s all boxed up pending a house move, and this photo doesn’t scale correctly on my phone for some reason.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Hi all, thanks for the welcome.

Speakers are quite big and heavy they are 40kg each, the clarity and sound stage is phenomenal when powered with a decent Amp.
