Thread: Can i connect speakers with woofers removed?

    Ok...i didn’t do this in tne end.

    However, another noddy question, just to be sure.

    I’m refoaming woofers using a 30mhz test signal.
    Instructions say to wite up woofer directly to amp. Ie no crossover.

    I only want to do one at a time slowly.

    Am i ok to only have one woofer connected to tne amp?
    Ie no cable connected to other channel from amp?

    It’s only low volume 30mhz.

    I’m using a marantz pm4.

    I think and hope you mean 30 hz, There is no need for a test tone to be running at the same time.
    Conventional crossover design usually includes at a minimum a inductor in series to the positive of the woofer
    and the negative grounded. See the linked schematic for a gale GS401 using 2x 8 inch woofers in parallel
