Grant I think you quite like the digione. I was quick to dismiss it when first installed it over a CCA but after some A/B testing it was easy to distinguish it's benefits.

I'm using BubbleuPnP to play tidal through Volumio on RPI to my Seg but cannot get anything above 44.1khz. Am I missing something?
    Current system:
    RPi + Allo Digione

    Amptastic Mini-1
Klipsch KG4.5 Speakers with Titanium Diagphrams and Sonicap Cap upgrade
110aH Leisure Battery powers the Mini-1 & Digione

might be something to do with bubble. not sure it can go beyond that. I use audirvana to send it. my dac takes up to 24/192 so i get av to upscale to that, or dsd

win 10 to av upscaled via ethernet to rpi then to dac and amp. let pc do a lot of the hard work seems to be better for the pi. you should be able to upscale what your pi and dac allow. more memory and faster processor on pc helps.

That's exactly the setup I use. Upscaling on the pc with AV improves the sound hugely but I have found that the pc needs a lot of fast ram to achieve high DSD rates (e.g. DSD 256).

yeah my new one would be fast enough(i7 and 16 gb ram), but the xc dac or the digi board i have doesnt do it at that level. think it maxes at 64. might be digi board so new one, which i will put through the vena may well do.

DSD 256 works fine with my old MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), 2.3ghz Intel Core i7 with 16GB 1600mhz DDR3 ram.
Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

Nice thing about Audirvana is being able to use Audirvana + on the iPad. It sounded great when I ran it into the Qutest DAC. May try your route into a Pi.
Did you try Audirvana into Pi with Allo Boss?

I’m puzzled. I’m using a Pi3/Hifiberry Digi+ Pro into a Beresford TC7510. The Pi is running Volumio, which finds the music on my NAS, and connects to Tidal and various internet radio stations. It will also find music files on a USB stick plugged into the back of my router.

So what does BubbleUPnP allow your setup to do that my setup doesn’t?
