    Default Thorens TD135 Turntable

A superb, fully working example of the Thorens TD135 turntable. A compact version of the iconic TD124 with the integral BTD12S tonearm.

One of the best of these you will come across, its semi-automatic, (the motor stops at the end of the side) and also this turntable, serial number 18720, was subject to a full restoration by a previous owner, details can be seen here:

    http://www.theanalogdept.com/pw_2.htm

A previous owner has replaced the rather beautiful green plinth with a modern black one made by Stereo Lab.

The motor suspension has been upgraded to Mk II specification with the Audio Silente conversion kit and an Audio Silente idler wheel is fitted. New rubber mushrooms fitted and the power lead has a 3 pin IEC socket to allow for use with any standard kettle lead.

The original Thorens PU1079 headshell is present together with a full set of mounting hardware. The headshell does have some paint damage, see photo.

I cannot pack this, so collection only from Lymington please.

    Price £400

    Thank you Jack.
I bought this from Tom (Montesquieu) about 5 years ago and have used it as my mono deck until a recent drive to reduce kit down to more manageable proportions.
By way of explanation for those who think they saw this sold recently, I did sell it on eBay a couple of months ago for £550 but the buyer has been unable to come and collect it due to being too busy and has asked me to resell it. So here it is at £150 less for a hopefully quick sale.

What a beautiful looking thing. I would have it if funds would allow. Have a bump on me.

Absolute cracker this. Were not for recent purchases this would be coming back to me.

Just to say I used it for mono too but the tonearm is wired for stereo.

Actually those BDT-12S tonearms sell on their own for close to the Clive's asking for the arm + deck + plinth.
