Quad Artera Play (this is the original version, not the new + version), combined slot-loading CD player, DAC and preamp in an attractive, compact package. I bought this as a very low use ex-dem unit from Radlett Audio last October, so it's had very little use and is in excellent condition. Remote, mains cable, original packaging. £850 plus carriage.

I heard and used this sample once, with the Artera power amp and balanced connections. I thought it was lovely and a huge step up in musical terms from the (too) straight-laced Elite preamp of the earlier generation.
If you want a genuinely musical and involving good looking source and the facilities suit, I'd recommend it highly. Quad still have great service backup too..
