    Ah right I was going by your neighbour's house in the background of the photo.


    There's some three story buildings round here that still have the original windows in the top floors despite being almost 200 years old.

    My own house is 1936, still the original Crittal windows, front door and garage doors, all pretty good.

    Original owners must have been the envy of all the street, having a garage. But I suppose secure, off road parking would have been just as important then, to keep the thieving little street urchins from nicking your honking horn and picnic basket.

    Chances are that houses that old are listed buildings, and to replace those windows with wood (or steel) isn't going to be cheap.
