    Default Psvane Acme 300B tubes

After taking delivery of the these new tubes some time ago, I've finally had the opportunity to try them out. Reviews seem rather thin on the ground but my initial impressions are edging toward the level of hperbole that the manuafacturer spouted upon their release, although I hope my description is slightly more penetrable ;-)

From the outset the mids are glorious and the soundstage is considerably widened. Detail is incredible and there is the fabled 'inky' background of silence.... At first the lower-end appeared somewhat polite and muted but after a few hours burn in, it is anything but- powerful and dynamic to say the least. Not even 5 hours burn in have passed but already they are clearly the best 300B new issues I've ever used and by some distance (however I should mention they retail at 1050 dollars for a matched pair- ouch). The balance and extension at both ends of the sonic range is very surprising indeed. Presumably further improvements will follow- Psvane tubes do have a characteriscaly long burn in period. Grant Fidelity claims these are head and shoulders above the Psvane WE 300bs which have an excellent reputation. Let's hope reliabilty is good- in any event they do come with 24 months guarantee. My amp has never sounded so good. Has anyone else tried them yet?

I purchased two pairs of the Psvane T-series ‘black bottle’ 300B-T about 18 months ago for my mono-blocks. My experience is much the same as yourself, however they do take at least 150 hours of use to fully settle down and get the best out of them. I presume the Acme will be similar. I did notice after about 100 hours a change in sound which sounded a slightly veiled but only lasted for about 20 hours and then they cam back even better than before. IMO the PsVAnne are excellent, although a bit costly.
Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

Analog Inputs: Pro-Ject Signature 10 TT & arm, Benz Micro LP-S, Michel Cusis MC, Goldring 2500 and Ortofon Rondo Blue cartridges, Hitachi FT5500 mk2 Tuner

Digital:- Marantz SA-KI Pearl CD player, RaspberryPi/HifiBerry Digi+ Pro, Buffalo NAS Drive

Amplification:- AudioValve Sunilda phono stage, Krell KSP-7B pre-amp, Krell KSA-80 power amp

Output: Wilson Benesch Vector speakers, KLH Ultimate One Headphones

Cables: Tellurium Q Ultra Black II RCA & Chord Epic 2 RCA, various speaker leads, & links

I think I am nearing audio nirvana, but don’t tell anyone.

Hi the Psvane 300b-T are certainly nice tubes, while the 300 b-T MKII improve further on them. I thought the latter would be very difficult to beat but so far there's a clear improvement :-)

Recently bought the PSvane WE 1:1 replica reissues, for not a lot less than what you paid.
Haven’t heard your valves but can say the WE reissues drag sounds from my SET power amp I’ve never heard.
Noticeably better than than the KR Balloons I had in before, and even the Elrogs which unfortunately weren’t reliable.
If you’re are better again they must sound great.
Have about a hundred hrs or so on mine.

    24 month guarantee trounces mine.
Wish I’d known about these valves, let’s just say hope mine are reliable!
Psvane have a good reputation and recently found out my incoming AC voltage was nearly a constant 250V so might have been driving the valves hard, so hopefully all running near 230V will be better for reliability.

I was about to go with the WE 300b reissues too (newer Plus version) but was told the ACMES were tighter/higher spec... We'll see how the reliability is- for now they are working wonders in my Longdog amp...
