Grounding boxes - The real deal

Have tried these devices with all valves / analogue systems (both TT and R2R), Berni on here has a classic Valves / vinyl set up works just dandy on his system.
In fact only two systems that I know have these GB's have switching amps, the rest are classic a/b / valves with the odd class 'a' thrown in.

Snoopdog's system is digital / class a/b he uses Entreq (which we do not sell) seems happy with the results.

Currently assessing a loaned Entreq Silver Tellus with four Apollo Eartha cables (two XLR to DAC, one RCA phono to transport and one RCA phono to preamp).

Definitely something going on, with lower noise and ease of musical presentation.

The trouble with forums is there is so much useful and knowledgeable information buried in amongst arguments between posters!

Indeed. I don't mind arguments, as long as they stick to the subject being discussed and don't turn personal. Displaying a bit of controlled passion is good on subjects of interest. Sadly however, some folks are incapable of that, especially the irascible sorts who don't realise that things turn personal often as a *direct* result of their belligerence, and how aggressively they address people!

In an effort to get a handle on the subject of grounding boxes and real consumer experience and feedback, I waded through nearly 150 pages of posts on one thread about "Entreq" on an American forum.

Just when it got really interesting, some idiot would chime in with an insulting post and the whole thing would become derailed for a couple of pages, before returning to actual customer experience!

Yup, I had to ban someone yesterday exactly for that. Why do these arrogant clowns think that they're entitled to spew their bile over any subject that doesn't fit with their prejudices? That's the problem these days, though: ENTITLEMENT. Unjustified 'Entitlement Syndrome' is rife!!

I blame how they've been brought up; as kids they should've been spoiled less and slapped more....... Thankfully however, we moderate *very strictly* here on the above behaviour, so very few threads are locked or deleted.
