I had intended to refoam myself possibly.
But having got thrm they are in fantastic condition.
    In original boxes and pacaging.
Evrn the grilles were in original plastic rwrapiing.

I think they deserve better than my grubby mits all over them.

I think the crussuver is very simple.

So i'm definately leaning towards them being refoamed and recapped by an exiert.
If they look good, why refoam them?

    Cosmeically excellent.
    Someone looked after these.

The foams have cracks and need replacing.
Due to being from te 70# i would also like to recap.
I think there is only one cap.

If you could wait until after the Hifiwigwam 2019 show or bring the bass unit to the show, I can undertake the reforming of the L26 bass units please take a look at the link below:-

I found the crossover capacitor to measure within spec with my L40's the biggest problem is the "L-Pad" control and corrosion.

The JBL L26 speakers are pretty nice. They were the middle model in the 'Decade' series L16/L26/L36 trio of compacts. They used a derivative of the LE20 cone tweeter if I recall. I think I still have the original brochure somewhere. They're certainly well worth having a top class refoaming on the cones.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
