    Default Technics RS-X501 Cassette Deck

I am hoping I will shortly be receiving a Technics RS-X501 cassette deck but I know after time the drive belts etc will need replacing. Is this easy/hard to do on this machine?

I have replaced belts on a few cassette players , All very different , some easy some a real pain , Dont be tempted to bend anythig for that " Little extra room "
Take the lid off and have a look when it arrives

Also some have more than one belt

I've changed a few cassette deck belts and as Al said just take your time and be gentle. As they can be quite fiddly little sods to work on and some dismantling may be involved take some photos before pulling it apart, invaluable when reassembling.

Well, that did not work out, so I am trying again with the Denon DRM-07 so if anyone has any information on this deck it would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Dr.,

Might I suggest you visit www.tapeheads.net where you can sign up, make an introduction and the membership should be able to advise you: very knowledgeable, generous with their time and affable too.
