    Default Auorasound Vida For sale

Selling what many consider to be the best phonostage available. My Auorasound Vida. A quick Google will tell how special this is.

It is in pristine condition cosmetically and functionally. Original box and paperwork. A gem to look at and listen to.

£3,299 new. €2,900 by transfer. Will be sent UPS priority with full insurance so the cost will be circa €100. This to be confirmed when destination is known but can be paid separately via PayPal friends and family.

    PM if interested.

I guess I should mention my experience of it to tempt you.

To be honest there's very little to say. It just works, vanishes. This was proved when i sold the Hashimoto trannies I'd been using since almost day one with the Vida (sold to a member). I expected a noticeable downgrade - no, not at all. In fact I really couldn't detect any actual loss or haze or anything else, at least nothing that wiped the smile from my face. I didn't feel guilty about selling the trannies.

When I went through my shilabe/kansui phase it clearly showed the differences between models and my own allearts. If production is great it's great, if not it's not - but theres a general clear liquidity about it.

Anyway, I'm getting sentimental - it's the one constant in my system and is an end game bit of kit.

If you want something marginally better it takes at least double it's very expensive price. So if you want to end the phonostage hunt give it some thought.

    I'll miss it.

Lovely stage Adrian and can’t say I’m not tempted. Just got a work bonus!

What replaces it in your system?

Nothing replaces it. It would take a 10k Ear to beat it. I'm getting rid of my vinyl. So no replacement.

Are you going to sell SP10 as well?

There is a queue for the Sp10 and Allearts should I pull the plug on them.

A couple of people have asked what I'm replacing this with (and the Reed listed elsewhere) as though I must have found something better. This is not the case. I had a lengthy chat with Tom about this and as he knows there are many factors leading me to sell - items I know in the future I can easily get hold of again because they are still in production.

The Sp10 is a superb, recapped example and the plinth is a work of genius - this would be very hard to replace. The allearts can be bought new but costs 3 times what I payed for it, so I'd prefer to put it away for the future. Although they are my escape mechanism should I need to.

For me, after years of chasing exotica I found what are genuine bargains for their quality in all areas and truly deliver what they promise - but opening a school is not cheap, lawyers, architects, equipment - I'm around 5 k short. Weighing up the extra revenue of a new school replacing the Vida and Reed with another won't be a problem.

There are other reasons, I've moved house and have old suspended floors that shake when you sneeze - seriously.

So yes, this is a genuine sale for a genuine reason.

If admin don't mind I'm putting this in the other listing as it involves the Reed.
