Hardly, despite the forum title as you know from the praise your Denon got we have pretty catholic tastes. Besides, if we were to ban people who use decks other than Lencos I'd have to ban myself It was your Denon that set me off trying out old Japanese DD's! As you know, the price of 301 and 401's have gone through the roof and even the more desirable Lencos are still a fraction of the price. I picked up a pair of 88's over the weekend for less than a third of the price of a typical 301 and other than a service, some new powder coating (£30 inc VAT) I think it will be a great deck. It runs silent even before I mess with the motor and bearing.

I'm Roy.
I have heard some systems based on 301 and 401 decks sounding very good, but I have also heard some very disappointing ones. I find the Lencos to be consistent and even modest decks demonstrated by Lenco Heaven tend to be the best sounding rooms at shows.
I know enthusiasts who have sold their Garrard in order to replace them with a Lenco. It is also evident that you cannot buy a 301 or 401 modified to this standard for less than £1000-£1500, so I think that it is good value. The deck has been advertised before, but money has since been spent on improving the earth grounding and mains input. It is also PAT tested to ensure that no-one will get a nasty shock in every sense! The arm was built by a specialist from the Lenco Heaven site.
I am happy to sell the deck without a cartridge for £350, or with a Goldring 1042 for £375.
Hi Roy,
Can I suggest you post some bigger, clearer photos, might help folk see better what's on offer
Might be worthwhile telling is what upgraded bearing you added and the number of hours on your carts. Your photo's just seem to show a stock 75 housed with a stock plinth/tonearm. Similar decks can be had for <£250.

The upgraded bearing had been carried out before I bought the deck, so the details are unknown.
The carbon fibre tonearm was sourced from Brian 28 on the Lenco Heaven site.
The Goldring 1042 cartridge has around 200 hours of use.
I regularly have problems posting photographs here and I cannot find a way of making them any larger or clearer.
You can get a better view on the auction website, Gumtree or hifi-forsale.co.uk
You might want to learn how to use photobucket or something similar, this gives you the power of full screen pictures. I would also suggest you strip the 75 and learn about the mods to the bearing, I think your price could be justified is you supplied better pictures and details. An upgraded bearing could just mean it's had a simple service (a 15 minute job).

Hi Roy, send me the pics, and any more you would like to add and I'll put them up here for you...I'll pm u my email address
The arm on this deck was made by Brian Limage...carbon fibre wand, pure silver wired with Michell Engineering silver cartridge tags. The arm alone would cost £250 to buy new. Your looking at £150 for the plinth...(on the cheap side..) which means for £250 + £150 = £400, Roy is asking for £375....so your getting a GL75 deck which looks pretty good, and a choice of Denon 103 or Goldring 1042...these carts alone are worth about £100
It's a no brainer, this is a bargain!!!!
I would buy it myself, but I'm staring at 10 GL75's at the mo....in one room!
Medication time...
