    Default Thorens TD166 mk2

I’m about to list for sale a td166 mk2 which I know next to nothing about , I have noticed a very fine bit of what looks like fishing line attached to one of the 2 chrome bits at the rear of the tonearm, should this have a little weight on it ? ( like the Lenco ? )

    Yes.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

It's just a bias weight mate. Whether the TD166 has a dedicated one for the model, I don't know.

Try Steve at Magna Audio, also on AOS. He fabricates counterweights and may already have a pattern for the 166.
