    Default Technics SL 1200GR experience

I want to buy this turntable for music listening at home and I'm asking members about their experience with this table? What is good, weak points? Suggested modification? Best optimum cartridge for playing jazz, blues music?

Just buy it and live with it for a while, it won't need that many changes, possibly an external psu and as for the arm, only if you are planning on using an expensive mc.

Heard it at a show last summer and thought it was excellent, better than I expected and I expected it to be good.

Hi there if u have a choice listen to both technics the 1200gr and the g
Personally i went for the g as it had a more confident sound meaning the 1200gr is slightly congesting ... let your ears decide
