After shaping and machining, drilling and threading comes the polishing.
Here's the first of a pair of armlift carriers.
This one for Audio Technica AT-1503

Here are the pair before polishing. Note the larger arm pillar drilling for the beefy 1503 diameter.

Here's the second Audio Technica armlift / clip carrier.
This one is for the AT-16T.

Here's a pair of extra weights to original specs, that screw in to the end of the Kenwood L-07D direct drive turntable and tonearm.

Here is one of the sub-weights I made for a Kenwood L-07D Direct Drive Turntable.
    Pictured on the customers tonearm.
Always nice to see stuff working in-situ.

Here's a pair of Tannoy GRF style cabs I made for a customer in Belgium (years back).
They are back with me for a modification to the input (going, DSP bi-amp active, but with the passive capability retained), and a refinish, as they were left for a good long while during a holiday with the sun streaming in on them under a hot sun.

The passive / active set up

I've been setting up the DSP system that will do the crossover and HF filter necessary to tame the Tannoy horn tweeter.
This route benefits from not using an L-Pad to lower the dB of the tweeter to that of the bass, and also the filter I mentioned is not a passive component one.
Another benefit is being able to run an amplifier most suitable for the tweeter (a EL84 SET amp has been chosen) and a Quad solid state amp for the bass.
Different damping factors can be used to optimum driver control / sound.

I will be setting up the sound side with further measurements and listening tests once the finish is restored.

Here the fade before treatment (actually looks worse in daylight).

    First remove the varnish..

Then treat with specialist wood bleach..

Further treatment will be done as necessary, before neutralisation of the bleach and then staining and re-varnishing.

    More to follow..
