    Good evening to everybody,

I was asked to introduce myself.

I noticed this forum for the first time when I saw that some
gentleman reported about a number of "our" old preamps,
    Audiolabor VV2020.

You can have a look at my homepage http://www.audiolabor.de/
    (in german).

Have to leave my home now, more to come ..? ..

Interesting line up of equipment Andy. I had heard of the Audiolabor name before, but was unaware of the product line up.

I love the look of the Synchron turntable, very neat.

The Art of Sound has worldwide membership, the bulk of which are in the UK.

I don't know if you market in the this country, but a trade account may be available. You'd need to speak to Marco, the site owner.

I'll look forward to hearing more from you.

    Welcome to AoS Andy,

Some interesting equipment you handle. Is that a Breuer Type 5A arm shown at the top of your website?

What equipment do you use personally and what are your tastes in music?

    Enjoy the Forum

    Regards

I found the Audiolabor VV 2020 preamp on Ebay.de.
My first one had no cover, but worked well and sounds good.
    Later bought 2 more.
I use VV 2020 every day.

How do you rate it ?
Any tips for me on recapping or renovation.

Thank you for all the answers. Initially I wanted to help Juha
to find missing parts for his preamp cabinet.

walpurgis: my homepage is not for marketing - the company does not exist any more.
It is for manuals and other info, even diagrams, to aid repair. All spares still available.

I think most of the stuff was sold in Germany, but thanks to the internet it is spread worldwide
    in the meantime.

Barry: Yes, it is an old Breuer arm mounted on our "konstant" turntable, about 1981.
Now after 30+ years I don't use Audiolabor gear any more but still use some of the old
    cabinet stuff for prototyping.

Juha: I can help with missing cabinet parts. This was may original intention on registration.
Not sure how to rate the 2020 today, but I can say it is a very complex and versatile preamp.
Not easy to count the number of circuit boards in this small cabinet even. Try to check the elcaps
"in situ" with an LCR bridge (Philips PM 6303 or similar recommended), but most of these will still
    work fine after 35+ years.

I have to admit that I did not see this forum before,
and it seems to have a friendly atmosphere.

But I am more in the repair, design and consultancy
business today and so my input may stay small.

Among people interested in vintage gear my other
homepage may be already be known:
    http://www.klangfilm.org/

It is about old cinema equipment made by Siemens
and is intended as a free resource of information.
Any useful comments on this or probably even pictures
    and documentations are most welcome.

I don't know much about the use of this brand in the UK
or Ireland cinemas and public address locations. Anybody
can report on this? Thank you.
