Default Any views out there on the SL1200 mk7?

Technics have just announced the release of the 1200mk 7. I've never been a SL1200 listener but it looks like technics have improved upon the older design enough for me to think I should investigate the benefits of DD. They haven't priced it yet but I'm guessing it will come in close to a grand depending on how badly sterling does this year. Any longterm SL1200 users considering the mk7?

Would it only be DJs rejoicing? I’m not sure - haven’t bothered with vinyl for years, and I have a few turntable in ”storage”, but getting them back into good shape might cost more than a few £00s. This could actually be a better option for some people - maybe.
