    Default Hello from Romania

    Dear Sirs,
My name is Dorin and I have been interested in electronics, music and loudspeakers for more than 40 years.
IT Engineer by trade, I kept electronics as a hobby and from time to time I make some changes of my system ( http://www.homebuilthifi.com/project/5604 ).
I am glad I have discovered this forum of passionate people and looking forward to talk with you guys, thank you.
    Regards,
    Dorin

    Hi Dorin

    Welcome to the forum.

I have considered buying some bits of equipment from Romania in the past through Audioweb as the prices seem so low, but I have never gone through with it due to uncertainty of buying from a website and seller I don't know.

Next time I'll ask for your advice .

    Welcome to AoS Dorin.

We have many DIY enthusiasts here, so we would be very interested to learn more about your work.

What are your tastes in music?

    Enjoy the Forum

    Hi Dorin. Welcome to AOS.

DIY projects are always of interest, maybe you could feature some in the Gallery section.

Feel free to join in the chat.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Thank you all for the warm welcome and hope I could bring some valuable info to this community.

@John, you did right not risking money on Audioweb. I know nothing about that particular site but --sorry to admit--- our people got a reputation and would take more than a generation to improve.

@Barry, my preferences are towards classical music, especially piano works, but in fact I'm listening to all kinds. Last couple of years I found that I am almost exclusively using Chromecast Audio with Deezer, rarely a turntable and not at all a CD player.

@Geoff, I would like to present my DiY efforts and talk about some unusual design decisions I took.

Thank you for the advice Dorin. Very honest of you.

I use Deezer through a Chromecast too, find it very convenient.

    Enjoy the forum my friend.

@Geoff, in case your base is in Bucharest, I am wondering if you are aware of local audiophile forums, maybe activating on some.
