Grim statistics on retirement age and life expectancy

The data is very specific to corporate employees but quite telling all the same. Especially for me since it covers precisely the sort of corporate management where I’ve made my career. Whether data is similar for academics, small business owners or other walks of life, who knows ? - I doubt it’s been captured in this form as this was related to actuarial data gathering for corporate pension schemes.
As it happens I have precisely this calculation to make: maximise pension by working as long as possible, or go when I can when kids are finished Uni and the mortgage is paid off which for me should be around age 61 (just over three years’ time).
The numbers are pretty shocking though and might well have helped me make my mind up.
