This thread is well off topic so.... Whenever I visit my supermarket and see literally dozens of variations of basically the same product e.g. Energy bars, sausages, ham, toilet cleaner, I get an irrational panic attack worrying that they are never going to be able to sell them all. Is there any treatment for this ?

    Yup. Buy them all!
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Occasionally we also source stuff, such as some Italian ingredients (e.g. white truffles, for risotto, or some cured meats) from online specialists.

I am a massive Lidl fan. It is my supermarket of choice as it stocks so much quality european brands. Their products are top notch especially their Deluxe brand. Fruit and Veg could better but their bakery is superb. The best thing about Lidl is the unexpected items they stock now and then. Certainly not a boring supermarket like Tesco!

Agree with everything, Jim, apart from the fruit and veg comment... Maybe it's a branch thing? The fruit and veg selection in the Wrexham Lidl is excellent, and easily as good, if not better, than that in any of the rival supermarkets

The GI loaves are very good - when they have them. Oddly they seem to be of quite different sizes in different branches - yet they should all be the same weight. Some stores have them frequently, others either always sell out just before I get there, or don't have them.
