    I'm Gary.

Post My 2019 Update Thread - My final system I think.

Not been as regular here on AOS as I'd like, elsewhere due to work commitments n stuff, so glad to have some time over the holidays to catch up.

Been upgrading the system recently and thought I'd use this thread to update the system pics I've posted elsewhere.
Enjoyed my Oppo upgrade thread, so wanted to start something similar here, as there's a few things in the pipeline.

As I said, a few things coming up so here's the system before I started (what I hope to be) the final pieces of the puzzle and I can call the system done.
    (No really... ACTUALLY finished. )

Think this was the state of the system last time I did a gallery thread:

    DIGITAL:
    Dac: M2TEch Young Dac
    Streamer: Logitech Transporter running Roon
    CD/SACD Transport: Oppo 103

    ANALOGUE
Turntable: Michell Gyrodec, with all Orbe bits. (Basically an Orbe all bar the Tacho psu)
    Arm: SME V
    Cart: Dynavector XX2 Mk2

    AMPLIFICATION
Preamp: Densen DM20, recently recapped and serviced by Densen.
Power amp: 300B SET amp, all 8/9 watts per channel depending on how you measure it.
Valves: Electro Harmonix 300B Output tubes/ Tung Sol signal tubes

SPEAKERS Colin Topps' "Eddingdales", the original version.

    CABLES
    Speaker: Tellerium Q Ultra Black
    Interconnects: Morrow Audio MA5

POWER/AC: Hardwired 2KVA Balanced mains unit, feeding 6 cable "Hydra" box feeding all equipment. (all wired with French 4mm solid core cable)

    -----------------------------------------
Some things have changed since then, but there's more to follow so took it back a bit so I could use that as a baseline
    Updates soon.

“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”
