    Wish i still had audio innovations 700 and kef 104/2.

    Sounded luvly.
    I’ve had the pleasure of snell a, hovlandd hp 100, sjs pre and 300b power, audionote etc etc, but it’s the ai 700 and kefs i wish i still had.

    They really are still superb speakers

    Purchased a WHEST Two.2 phonostage. Awful, couldn’t wait to move it on which I have now. Teach me to buy unheard and on recommendation. Have now installed a PS Audio NuWave Phono Converter which I tried on home demo.

    AMPLIFIER: Bryston BR-20 Pre/DAC/Streamer & Bryston 4B3 Power Amplifier
    SPEAKERS: Spendor D7 on Iso-Acoustics Gaia III’s
    HEADPHONES: OPPO PM-1 with Atlas Zeno cable, B&W Pi7 S2 and B&W C5 v2.
    CABLES: Analogue: Speaker Atlas Mavros Grun. Interconnect - Atlas Mavros XLR x3, MCRU Silver Tonearm cable

    Phil, were the KEFs any good?. They have long been admired from afar but haven't heard a pair.

    They were excellent.
    They just disapeared amidst tne music.

    I used them in a room 4.5 x 4.5.

    I would love another sorted pair.

    Definately reccomended.

    If anyone has them, please hand them back! :-)

    Coloured? That's what has held me back. I think they'd be very good in my space, which is about 3.5x3m

    You are not the first to report being disappointed with the Whest phonostages. Shame as they re not cheap even if they are well built. But if they don't sound good ............

    Being persuaded to get rid of my monitor audio rs6 speakers,best speakers I've had in my room
    novafidelity x40 music server/pre/dac, Arcam A39, roksan k3 power amp,Monitor Audio Monitor 50, Dali spektor 1, van damme interconnects and speaker cable, roskan k3 CD player
