Default What is their purpose ?

As you can see from the photos my amp has these removable clear plastic grills , their profile is identical to the vent grills on top of the amp so they’re not for blocking the vents so what is their purpose ?
The black bits are clips that hold the clear plastic bits in place.
Could it be that the material makeup of the plastic grills attracts dust to their surface and not through the holes ?

I think not as the manual says DO NOT STACK , and they suggest a gap of above and to the sides of 100mm

I doubt it as dirt and dust would still drop through the holes

Travel grills to prevent the metal ones being damaged in transit?

    Adjustable bits underneath?

Removable to allow cleaning the amp internals?

Do the slots line up both ways? What I mean is, If you turned them back to front might the solid bits on the plastic line up with the holes underneath? Thus enabling the slots to be blanked off?

Was there a thin replaceable filter at some point between the two?

Not that I’m aware of plus the retaining clips are pretty tight so I can’t see anything being thin enough to fit underneath.
