There is such a thing as black tac.
I used it to secure a standmount speaker to its stand.
When it came to removing the speaker, the cabinet veneer came off rather than the black tac.
    Seriously sticky stuff. Not good.

Simply extend, point at what might be foo, and if the rods detect it as such they will move in mysterious ways. For £199.95 no serious audiophile can afford to be without one.

Highly recommended, 5 star reviews on following link..

You may be on to something there.

Put them in an audiophile's house, wire them up like a wind turbine and you'll have free electricity as they be spinning so fast.

Yes! With a nice sexy wooden box full to place on top! And odd shaped ones to place in the corners of the room, etc.

A carbon fiber, resin dampened outlet cover. Only $250. A bargain at twice the price. Per their ad copy:

All non-magnetic Damper cover plate finished with NCF carbon fiber sheet and Neo Damper sheet plus NCF resin plate for the most effective damping

NCF - Nano Crystal² Formula - Nano Crystalline, Ceramic and Carbon Powder Incorporated into select Furutech products, Nano Crystal² Formula --- NCF is comprised of a special crystalline material that has two “active” properties. First, it generates negative ions that eliminate static and secondly, it converts thermal energy into far-infrared. Furutech then combines this remarkable crystalline material with nano-sized ceramic particles and carbon powder for their additional “Piezo Effect” damping properties. The resulting Nano Crystal² Formula is the ultimate electrical and mechanical damping material – only found in Furutech products! Nano Crystal² Formula eliminates static, “interconverts” thermal, mechanical and electrical energy and damps vibrations—all for the finest Furutech Pure Transmission signal imaginable.

Neo Damper – an extremely effective elastomer composite material created in Japan for vibration damping in sensitive electrical and mechanical devices such as high end audio products where transference or transmission of vibrational and electrical noise through power cables has detrimental effect of sound reproduction
I saw this a few years ago, is it not amazing? And what I’d like to know, even if everything they say is true, why should it cost so much? If it is truly carbon fiber, it may be worth $5. I don’t think I would have the heart to do something so dishonest, I guess that’s why I’m not rich?

Stayed with an ole mate of mine years ago on a farm in West Wales. He was renting the main farm house the owner who lived in the barn opposite. The owner made some dosh from coming up with black tack, not sure if the same stuff Jerry used.
His main income was from concrete horn type speakers which he would build into the houses of clients. He used quad gear on his home system. By the gate to the farm house either side of the road were placed / built some concrete speakers. They sounded great, never since heard anything like them.

A few things occurred to me regarding the world of hifi.

It has, compared to most hobbies a vast amount of foo and snake oil products.

Many people believe the more something costs the better it is.

If somebody gets ripped off they're unlikely to admit it and will defend their purchase to the death.

Lastly, and most importantly, lots of audiophiles use blutac for a variety of purposes.

So here's my plan, I buy loads of packs of blutac and rebrand it as "audiophile grade vibration damper and anti-slip putty" and sell it for £25 per pack for low grade, £50 for high end and £100 for reference quality. (obviously it's all the same but people are happy to pay more if they think they're getting the best)
All that's needed is some good reviews in the hifi press (again the high price and foo pseudo science on the packaging will guarantee this) and I'm rich.

We can be divided into two categories; those who care about their fellow beings, and treat them with moral consideration, and those who are predatory and often dishonest, and move on to another victim. The latter tend to be psychopaths.

But wealthy psychopaths! Women on my Facebook page go on about Karma, and I don’t know where they get it from? There are literally millions of terrible people living successful lives, I see no evidence of Karma. In fact, it seems to be the opposite, those who try to do good tend to be the ones trodden upon. I suppose a clear conscious and a sound night’s sleep are their own rewards.
