    Default Wanted, bookshelf speakers

I've just bought Paul's Quad Vena listed on AoS. It's to form the heart of a second system in our little study bedroom. Front end will be a Logitech Squeezebox streaming from the downstairs Innuos Zen Mini.
So I'm looking for a pair of compact bookshelf speakers as they will be on a shelf I'm not looking for mega bass just something that is nice and musical but can also do spoken voice well. OK an LS3/5a would be ideal but that's way over the top price-wise. I'd be quite happy with sealed boxes or a forward firing port as long as they don't honk.

I've seen Mordaunt Short M10's on Amazon for £59 but have no experience of these. Budget would be £150 max so if you have anything interesting that might suit our needs or something you would recommend please let me know.

    Thanks in advance, Ian

Not sure if they would strictly qualify as bookshelf speakers Ian, but I really cannot recommend the Kralk Audio TDB-2's highly enough and you can buy them new for £180 delivered.

    Ridiculously good for the money.

Thanks Mike, James both those speakers look interesting although I am trying to stick to my budget. Tannoy 605? I bought a pair of these for my son many years ago. Don't know where they are now but I remember them being nice little speakers. Thanks Richie.

I'll let you have a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 8.1 speakers for £30 -- you pick them up from SW London.

Many thanks for all your suggestions but I'm now sorted. A generous friend is giving me a pair of Dali Zensor 1 speakers which should fit the bill nicely.

Hi Ian, is he short of friends?

Glad you're sorted, was going to offer a small pair of Sony's but probably not really good enough.

Oops, I think that came over the wrong way.

I meant does he need any more friends that he can give stuff away to
