They were great especially once they were up on 8" stands. I really enjoyed them so, when I had the chance to replace them with bigger Tannoys, I couldn't resist.

Thanks. Looking like I'm going to have to get a listen to some Tannoy speakers

Rather boring, the only things that's different is the EAR 834P clone, all my other stuff is the same.

You were pretty much on the top tier already though so not that surprising.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

Basically the same system. With new crossover mods, extensive DAC mods and better selection of expensive triodes and other valves.

I've been very happy with my system for a number of years now. Only significant difference is that Hifiman 400s has supplanted AUDIO Technica AD900 as my premium headphones, and a Xduoo xd-05 with Burson v5i opamp upgrade shares headphone duty with my Hifi News Headcase headphone amp. I'm sentimental, when I get used to something and like it, it tends to stay for a long time.
Without music, powerboat racing, photography and a whole stack of other stuff that floats my boat, life is just a non stop procession of deadlines and bills.
