Default FS: Celestion A1 speakers with Atacama SL700 stands

These are lovely speakers, so well made the cabinets are heavy and rock solid, I really don't know why they don't fetch more. They've served me well for several years and I had no urge to change (rare for me!) until I got the chance of some bargain Bastani speakers to try. Condition is very good with some very minor marks hard to notice.

The stands are in the rare white and 700mm height, I like my tweeters at ear level but it's hard to find stands that don't put them too low. They have a few marks as you can see. Could easily be touched up with white gloss enamel paint if you were bothered.

Asking £325 the lot or £275 for the Celestions and £75 for the stands. Collect from Durham by arrangement in the near future with a holding deposit.

I have a feeling I'm seriously going to regret this, it took my years to find a pair with no crinkles in the tweeter and excellent condition cabinets, and the stands. These could be withdrawn at short notice. In the meanwhile some more pics...

The A1 is a great speaker and these are a proper bargain.

Thanks Geoff and Dan, they were £995 new IIRC, and that might have been just the black ash. The tweeters have Faraday rings and the woofers were a special mica loaded polyholomer (or something) material designed for mid range clarity, they are not boomboxes. They also (surprisingly) work nicely only 30cm from the back wall in my small room despite the rear ports with no bass boom. In fact, why am I doing this??

These are really good speakers; they're also the later tweeter model version (with the three bars). Very nice, weighty, coherent presentation.

Oh yes I waited for the three bar version as well. It's no coincidence that I've never seen a pair of single bar tweeters without dents!
