    Default Adverts embedded in posts.

Just wondering if this is something at my end or AOS.s. Adverts have started appearing in individual posts. I cannot recall it happening previously.

Ads have always been there but I agree they have suddenly become very intrusive and now take up much of the screen. Very irritating!

Ads appearing in places other than at the top and bottom of a page, are due to a change in Forum policy regarding site income and revenue from advertising. https://theartofsound.net/forum/show...54#post1023254

As mentioned in the link, it is expected the software will 'learn' where it places the new adverts, and not have them appear within posts (which I agree is extremely annoying). If you really can't wait for the system to settle, then the only solution will be to install an ad-blocker, which will remove all advertising from the site. The downside is that if you click on some links that will take you off-site, you will be asked for permission (for a one-off allowance), the webpage will refresh and you will need to re-click on the link. This obviously takes up your time and the presence of ad-blocking software will affect the speed of your computer.
Have you listened to this month's choice in the Album Club?

again, an ad block will get rid of on pc. if on a mobile then the tapatalk app is ad free and much easier to use than a browser, plus you get free image hosting...its a win win.

Ironically there is just such an embedded advert, for bras of all things, within the first post of this thread.

Thanks for the explanation and link. I should have had a search on the site before posting. Iíve been away and noticed it when I returned. I use an ad blocker on the PC but noticed them being intrusive on the iPad. No massive concern and happy with the explanation.

    Guys,

This subject was covered at length only the other day, see here: https://theartofsound.net/forum/show...-Popup-and-ads

Plus, a notice has even been posted about it on the Noticeboard: https://theartofsound.net/forum/show...54#post1023254

In future therefore, in instances like this, could all members please *read the forum first*, to see whether the issue concerned is already being/has already been discussed, before posting a new thread on the same topic?

    Cheers!

    Marco.

Lucky you. I get adverts for holiday lets in Cornwall. I don't know why. I think their profiling algorithms need more work.
