    Default Lumin D2

Will be getting a D2 next week. Only issue I can see with slotting this into my system is I’d like to connect my telly through this so as to use the internal dac. It doesn’t have a Toslink input but does have USB, so looking for a Toslink to USB converter. Had a look online but struggling to find anything. Anyone know of something?

Not looking to spend much, a cheap converter will do, it’s only for tv sound.

Yes I know I could use the analogue outs or my existing dac, but that would mean adding a pre to my system, what I’d like to do is have the Lumin act as the system pre since I’ll be using it as the volume controller anyway when I listen to Roon/Tidal.

The USB sockets on the Lumin are for storage devices only.

The Lumin D2 appears to support UPnP. If you have a smart TV then perhaps you can connect to your TV that way. My LG TVs appear as networked devices on my system and it is very easy to play Tidal and other media through PnP.

Yes correct, basically using the Lumin as a dac/pre for tv sound.

Doesn’t look possible though. Maybe in a future firmware update.
