Will it be possible to put a 10" tonearm on a Technics 1200 / 1210 turntable?
Understand a 12" tonearm is probably much too long, but might a 10" arm fit on without any issues when playing!
Thanks

The spindle to pivot distance is around 215mm on the SL1200, so getting a 10” arm to fit properly may be a challenge.

That‘s the only one that would fit (I guess)

I think that the armboard will need to be carefully designed/made to fit a 10” arm.
It might be possible.

Its possible, but only just. I have a Triplannar mounted on mine and it works fine but the front of the arm overhangs the front of the turntable a little bit so the lid can't be used.

I very much doubt it would be possible. My FR-64S is around 9.5 inches and just fits on a Technics, but a 10” Jelco will not. Most 10” arms will need to be mounted at something like 240mm from the spindle and even if you could squeeze one into the arm opening, the end stub would probably foul the lid and the front of the headshell might overhang the plinth.
