    Leather platter mats are my budget faves. I had one on three turntables leading up to the SP10 MK2 and it improved every turntable. I tried acrylic but it caused constant static issues. Tried rubber, felt, cork, acrylic and then the leather. Can be had for £20 on eBay or the like. Superb little upgrade for very little money

    There are a couple of companies making turntables in leather finishes If thats what you are into.
