    Apparently talcam powder and a polishing mop works a treat for fine swirl marks

    I use the following for all plastic scratches and it is superb to restoring TT lids as well as vehicle plastics such as instrument covers, headlights, taillights.

    MEGUIAR’S MIRROR GLAZE PLASTIC CLEANER (NO. 17);

    followed by

    MEGUIAR’S MIRROR GLAZE PLASTIC POLISH (NO. 10)

    See descriptions in following

    http://www.aircraftspruce.com/pdf/20...l/Cat18479.pdf

    It lasts for years (10 yr +) so is well worth th investment.

    Dont be frightened to use Brasso if you have some in the cupboard .
    A few days ago I tried some on my Aiwa AP2200 lid . It came up really nice .
    A slightly damp cloth to rub it on with , dont forget the elbow grease but dont crack the lid either !
    Then a nice clean microfibre cloth to polish off
    Just try a small patch on the side first , if you are wary
    I only ride 'em, I don't know what makes 'em work

    After some advice I have polished the lid and oiled the plinth and that has made a large difference to the appearance
