    Default Broken Big Toe ??

I don't know but I think I might have broken my right big toe... nightmare

I slipped on the bottom stair last night and it made my toe double over and it's soooo painful. It's also a very strange colour at the moment and I can't really walk on it

It must be an age thing I reckon..

I'll see how it goes tonight but might have to visit my, so called, "Walk-In" Centre tomorrow... I think I'll call it the "Hobble-In" Centre actually

Been using ice and pain killers to relieve the pain a bit

Get it checked promptly Bev. Strange as it may seem, foot injuries can be dangerous.

    Exactly,

peripheral injuries need to be treated urgently. Hopefully, it is just bad bruising but better to get it assessed ASAP.

    Thanks for your concerns...

However I'm pretty sure they don't do anything if, indeed, it is broken; it's a bit like broken ribs, they can't actually do anything for them

It's certainly painful and I have a fairly high pain threshold

It's a very odd colour at the moment

I must be getting old I reckon....

That's the potential issue. Bloodvessels can be damaged and local circulation compromised leading to nasty problems.

Just as Geoff says. Maybe they can't actually do anything with it, but it still needs checking out.

Must admit when I saw the thread title my first thought was she's dropped her purse on it. Wouldn't have happened if she'd shelled out for the 1.7's

Big toes broken can cause lots of issues if not sorted, balance/walking etc can really be affected. Get it looked it properly, ASAP. So sod the walk in centre, it needs to be A&E/hospital & x-ray’d etc

Other toes are like you said, strap em up & forget about them. Can’t do that with big toes usually...!
    Bigger than you...
