    I'm Roberto.

    Default Hello everyone

    Hi
I'm Roberto or better TutanCarmen . I've got the Spirit of the Carmen Bizet and my way of life is as glorious as Tutan- Khamon.
My nightmare in HiFi started in late 80s when I redescovered my vinyl records by the venerable Lp12 .
After spending thousand hours in setting up the Lp 12 I discovered that one of the worst enemy of the Linn Lp 12 was the Tonearm cable so I added a light spring coil to the Tonearm to minimize the tonearm cable movement .
In late 80, when some people put in the bin the venerable Xerxes, I bought a used one and I adjusted the penisula sag trouble .
As the Linn the xerxes is a killing music machine .
Analogue passion devoured me and I never give up buying U.k,s TTs . So I bought a WILSON BENESCH ACT1 and the Voyd 3 . Then came the Mrm the SOURCe.

I've got a prt Lenco that I mostly used to play old mono and 78,s .
Project for the future - I'd like to make by myself a toneram as good as the SAT but at fraction the SAT's price .
The Tonearm to me is the most overlooked components of the analogue chain.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
