My new phono stage
I have just pulled the trigger on a PS Audio NuWave Phono Converter. This is not to say that my current phono stage the Whest Two.2 (which will be for sale once the new phono is here) is bad but it lacks one ingredient, a ADC. Unusually it converts records to digital files which then with a bit of jiggery pokery can be added to your digital music files in 24/96. It can covert to a higher resolution but PS Audio recommends 24/96.
I spent a week having a home demo and found the PS Audio NuWave very smooth and detailed, hence the purchase which I will look forward to receiving in a couple of weeks time. I’m actually very excited.
