    Morning all.

Seems I'm somewhat late to this particular party, but hey, I've been busy.

I'm Phil and I've spent a long career in audio. It all began began in 1982 when I joined Mordaunt-Short, fresh out of an industrial design degree, in a junior design role. After leaving Mordaunt-Short in 1987 for a spell in audio PR, I joined Canon Audio as Design Manager on the "innovative" range of hi-fi and custom install speakers, and then Naim Audio as speaker design and project manager. Since 2001 I've worked as a freelance consultant and writer across both the pro and consumer audio sectors. I plays electric and double bass and have recorded, produced and mixed numerous bands and artists. My website/blog can be found here: https://musicandmiscellany.com, and you'll find me regularly writing speaker reviews (although we call them "monitors" in pro land) in Sound On Sound magazine here: https://www.soundonsound.com

Happy to try and answer questions on 1980s Mordaunt-Short, Naim speakers (up to the early 2000s) and, anything Canon Audio (should anybody be bothered

Hi Phil, welcome to the forum.

Interesting CV you have. We've got a fair few members using Mordaunt Short speakers here. Not so sure about Naim speakers but I suppose there must be a few. Canon? Nah. But you never know what the future holds. Look forward to your contributions.

    Hello Phil. Welcome to AOS.

Looks as though you've had an interesting time. I'm sure some of our members may have questions.

I remember a large surplus of Canon marked speaker drive units hitting the boot sales about twenty five years ago for some reason. Production run end I guess.

Tell us what equipment you use in your system and feel free to join in the chat.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.
