I missed the Marantz demo as I timed my arrival as the last one of the day ended. Yes a shame for Mr.Ishiwata, a legend of the industry giving a presentation to a poorly attended room. B&W and Levinson were on the lowest floor of the exhibitors' floors, which I think was the first floor as the ground floor just had the live venue.

Mr Ishiwata’s chat about the good old days of digital in its infancy was the highlight of the day for me on Saturday,this pretty much summed up the most poorly attended show ive been too in over three decades.

Did anyone manage to listen to the new KEF R3s?

Every year I attend a show these days I notice the poor attendance, it cant be cheap to exhibit and just wonder if any business gets generated at such events. I was there on saturday and it was pretty dead IMO, the days of Heathrow Penta and Ramada have long gone. I did not see or hear any thing of interest I quite enjoyed hearing Touraj from Vertre talking about his crazily expensive tonearm, audio note room was pleasant enough a little too boring for me but nice. I am glad these shows exist and will continue to visit, If I was in the trade I am not sure I would bother to exhibit.
