It's in good nick, though shame about the missing bezel on the headphone socket.

Do you have the speaker plugs? Don't worry if you don't: the larger is 4mm diameter, the smaller is 3mm in diameter.

They were well made and had good SQ in their day.

Regarded by some as an alternative to the popular Quad 33/303 combo.

I was going to mention that, but whilst I have had extensive experience of the (original) Leak Stereo 70, and now have a Quad 33/303 in my collection, I have never compared the two.

I didn’t even notice the missing bezel

Neither have I, but from memory, I'd guess the Leak is more revealing, but at the cost of a little top end grain.

I had one in the late 80s when they were available pretty darn cheap...not being black or Japanese...or festooned with fancy graphics...or LEDs.
IIRC I payed a tenner plus a few LPs to a second-hand shop for mine complete with a unmarked sleeve.

What drew me to mine was the impressive weight for its footprint, and not bad power output.
I do recall being shocked by the sound quality compared to a big, black Akai amp I was running at the time.

I was also taken by the comprehensive user manual supplied. Read it from cover to cover, lots of useful tips.
I also recall that I read it in bed....the girlfriend at the time thought I was tapped.
