    Default FS: Leak 3080 Speakers

    Anyone fancy these bad boys?

Rare old leaks. Nice quality drive units with cast alloy baskets. Bass drivers have huge square magnets!

I've fitted new foam surrounds on the mids as they were rotted away.
Now working but with a couple of issues:
One of the bass drivers looks like it's sitting a bit too far back relative to the chassis (see picture). The spider looks flat so I don't know if the cone has distorted?? It's not rubbing and moves fine. Resistance measures well and it still works.
Also, the screws for that driver won't tighten up so possibly needs longer ones or something.

I have the grilles but they need a through clean and a couple of the pegs are damaged (they just push into the wooden frame).

They've got to be worth £50 haven't they?
Collection only from just outside Bicester (M40, J9).
For those of you who follow my threads, you'll note we still haven't decorated...

There is only one model bigger - the 3090s! Mine will be up for sale once I've finished fettling them. Or, to be honest, started fettling them...
