    LP12 was bought new by my dad in 1982 and untouched till this year. Even the original cartridge...
    Kandy about 15 years old
    Q acoustics speakers about a year old

    Ah you never mentioned the Q Acoustics. I had a dem of the Kandy amp and cd player about 15 years back, with AE speakers, it was all quite impressive. Prefer the old LP12s to the modern ones too.

    I bought the speakers on the back of a what hifi review without checking the competition.
    I had a marantz pm6006 which suited them.
    Might have to upgrade the roksan soon though

    Think I would question the need to upgrade the Roksan unless you have a strong budget for replacement.

    The Q Acoustics are allright. I'm thinking that you'd have to splash out a bit to get something better than the Roksan, though. A lot of good stuff comes up for sale here, if you don't mind owning second-hand. (Or tenth-hand in some cases )
