    Default maybe just one more?

    Hello all,
    First post, from Montréal, Canada.

Always a big fan of music - younger days spent at live shows (The stranglers, The clash, Iggy Pop, Bowie, Kinks, Rolling Stones....)
Music taste with the years has expanded (jazz, blues...) and recently diving deeper into Bossa Nova and loving it.

Short story - started diving into vintage HiFi six months ago and I’ve got the bug. There’s lots
to learn - it’s a journey so don’t assume my systems below are final / long term commitments (although the MS Signifer’s will never be sold!)

My systems (a snapshot as of today...)
    Main:
    - Marantz 2265b (great)
    - Yamaha yp 511 turntable (great)
    - Mordaunt Short Signifer (wow... amazing)

    Den
    Marantz 2220 (very nice)
    Yamaha yp d3 Turntable (wow)
    B&W dm 620 (very nice)

    Family room
Rotel RX-602 (very nice - and looks great)
B&W DM 220 (great bass and nice detail)
    Marantz 6350Q turntable (very nice)

    Office
Marantz 2226b (nice - better Than I expected and more detailed than the 2220)
PSB Stratus Mini (beefy bookshelf speakers with great sound)

Looking forward to learning a thing or two (three, four...)
    /mark

    Hi Mark. Welcome to AOS.

Good intro there. The Signifers are rare, but well respected speakers. It's long time since I heard any.

Tell us what future plans if any you may have for your Hi-Fi systems.

Feel free to join in any chat that interests you, everybody is friendly.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
