“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I`ll share some enhancements etc. i made to my TTS-8000 project. It may be an inspiration to some:

Feet: A bit nostalgic I guess, but I found the Audio Technica AT616 pneumativ feet in Japan. They are produced in the same timeframe as the Sony, and is is highly regarded by audiophiles in Japan and the US. If you come across a pair of four they can handle 60 Kg.

Lamps: Not directly related, but i discovered that the transformers of my Ikea Led lamps i used at the turntable, generated hum on my electric grid. I found these battery driven BBQ lamps on Amazon. The light itself is rather "Cold" but they do the job without hum:

Last but not least. After having mounting the Reed 2A i discovered that the Original lid was too low ! www.plasticonline.co.uk did an excellent job of producing a new lid after my specification. Their packaging is also excellent - I now have bubblewrap for the next few years ;-)

All in all I am extremely pleased with my TTS-8000. Right now my considerations are on having Mangna Audio produce some brass/ wood risers for my tonearms instead of the ones of light wood i had made here i DK.

I am still thrilled with my TTS-8000, and would never had thought of one, if not for the great posts here on AOS. A pic of my pride:
