The AT616 don't have bolts. The table is put on top of these four feet, and is thereafter "floating" on compressed air. "Floating" is a big word here with the tables weight of 40 kg - it doesn't move at all ;-)
English is not my native language, so any grammar & spelling errors is due to my crappy Smartphone..

unfortunately any answers to your question will just be guesses, the fact is no one will know for sure imo.

    Yeah
I was hoping to replicate the big TTS 8000 plinth I think TB 2000. I’m sure Sony knew what they were doing when they made the TT in the first place - the problem is the TB 2000 plinth never comes up for sale

Those things would have been as expensive as the the actual deck. I know they were for the Techy 'SP10'

That said there are other high mass options that I can think of

Actually they do. In the last two years I have seen 4 TB-2000 for sale: One in Sweden fully equipped with a table and two Sony tonearms - it went fast for app. 3000 GBP. The Insane priced in Germany is still there. Two TB-2000 went on sale in Japan: The one I got together with a table, and lastly a TB-2000 without table four months ago - that went within 4 hours for app 550 GBP.

So they are out there if you keep your eyes open - Asia is the best place to find them. The unofficial "Resinamic Sound" plinth also of SBMC also comes up once and a while (I also have one of these). They are for one Tonearm, but as beautiful as the official Sony TB-1000 for one Tonearm.

So keep looking and enjoy either the hunt, or the DIY approach ;-)

Just wanted to say what a wonderful project.
Can you post a video on YouTube when it’s complete?
Regarding the ebony edging which I thought was inspiring, it reminded me of binding on guitars. Is that similar to what you were using?

    Thanks
