Looks proper tidy on top.
Veneering the sides obviously but yes, this is going to result in work for you lol

Hardwired into the Panzerholz will offer a great performance.
If you want to put a film of another material under the Tonearm at a later date,
it will only serve as a tweak to the attenuation, I can't see a Tonearm Board of any type improving on the Top Layer on the Plinth you will fastening to, and the mechanical coupling between Spindle and Tonearm will not be compromised if all set into a slab of Panzerholz.
Trying some different materials under the Tenuto, can have a interesting effect on the Attenuation, again with the potential for offering the final fine tune to ones ear.
Once you're very familiar with the new sound on offer, a investigation into what can be done might prove a interesting experience.
You have the introduction of a New Plinth and Thrust Pad to come to terms with, so this will take time to assess, as well as the rebuilt Kb will still need to be run in, it will find its own when close to 150hrs of usage.

I'm mark.
I go the other way, IMO, the energy from the deck will go across the first layer of Panzer, and guess where, straight into the arm. Not so bad with TTS /SP10 which are inherently quiet.*
It leads to questions of wether to fit the deck onto rubber/sorbothane, but then why bother with 20KGs of plinth? All very interesting and look forward to the outcome.
*Most of my work is with Idlers, they emit far more energy than these DD's.
whislt i plan the the underside of the plinth i put the lathe to work today and turned up another thrust pad, this one is in delrin.
future ideas are to make a bearing housing in either panzerholz or delrin, watch this space
