    I don't think he'll ever stick anything on top. It looks great but I wouldn't have the patience to not get it just playing something!

    raising the grain in between sanding stages with warm water,i feel this whole project is starting to come together now. all the finishing materials have been ordered so once they arrive i can make a start on polishing the sub plinth.

    im only using water to raise the grain al,it swells the fibres of the wood so you can cut them off with the next sanding stage. it makes for a smoother finish.
