im spinning vinyl!
at last i hear you all cry! lol
a tense moment as the needle dropped, has it been worth all the hard graft??
ive not checked alignment yet and i have adjust+ coming soon to check azimuth but my initial thoughts are it seems a wee bit louder in this plinth than the sony,im using a julian bream/john williams album that i know very well and to my ears the attack (if thats the right word?) on the guitar strings is very much more prominent and forceful. the decay on some of the notes especially harmonic ones is very much improved, over all id say there is now more realism to the sound.
so to answer my own question, yes for me its been very much worth the time and effort,im chuffed to bits.the only downer is ive got to strip it back done again to give it a final polish....perhaps it can wait a week
